SAUDI CULINARY ARTS COMMISSION LAUNCHES SECOND EDITION OF ACADEMIC DIPLOMA PROGRAM
Saudi Arabia’s culinary sector gets a fresh infusion of homegrown talent as the Culinary Arts Academic Program returns for a second round, offering an accredited diploma pathway for aspiring chefs aged 18 and up.
A New Pathway for Local Talent
The Saudi Culinary Arts Commission has launched the second edition of its Culinary Arts Academic Program. The Commission is running it in collaboration with a select group of specialized Saudi institutes and universities, and the program offers an accredited diploma in culinary arts.
The initiative supports and empowers local culinary talent through an academic pathway aligned with international best practices. It equips aspiring chefs with the skills they need to enter the job market. The program also enables partnerships with specialized Saudi institutions across the hospitality sector. These partnerships position graduates to move seamlessly from the classroom into professional kitchens.
What the Program Offers
Participants will earn an accredited diploma from leading institutions. They’ll also receive professional, hands-on training under the supervision of experts and specialists in the field. The Commission designed the program to open doors to exceptional career opportunities within Saudi Arabia’s rapidly growing culinary and hospitality industries.
Partner Institutions
A roster of specialized Saudi institutes and universities will deliver the diploma. These include Prince Sultan Bin Salman Institute, Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Institute, King Khalid University, Umm Al-Qura University, Bahrain Medical College (BMC), and the Saudi Culinary Arts Academy.
Who Can Apply
The program welcomes high school graduates and university degree holders aged 18 and above. This reflects the Commission’s goal of reaching candidates at different stages of their education and careers. Applications open July 2 and close July 31, 2026. Interested candidates can register through the link in the Commission’s Instagram story.
Saudi Arabia continues to invest in developing homegrown talent across its hospitality and tourism sectors. This launch is part of a broader push to build specialized academic and vocational pathways that support the Kingdom’s growing culinary industry.
