Lebanon’s coastline has welcomed a fresh summer experience with the arrival of Dolce Mare at BeBatroun, a destination that blends beachfront relaxation, Mediterranean dining, fresh seafood, handcrafted cocktails, and unforgettable sunset views. Behind the concept is restaurateur Danny Aprat, whose vision was to create more than just a beach club. In this exclusive interview, he shares the inspiration behind Dolce Mare and why this new seaside hotspot is set to become one of the season’s must-visit destinations for visitors from Lebanon and across the Middle East.
Can you tell us about BeBatroun and what guests can expect when they visit?
BeBatroun is a beachfront resort that combines hospitality, dining, and leisure all in one place. We have a boutique hotel with 28 rooms, including both standard and connecting rooms in different sizes, making it ideal for couples, families, and groups.
Alongside the hotel, you’ll find our beach club, Dolce Mare. We have the swimming pool and our spacious deck with sunbeds and lounge areas where guests can relax and enjoy the day.
What makes the location so special?
One of the things people love most is the atmosphere. Batroun enjoys beautiful sunshine, and there’s almost always a refreshing sea breeze, so even during the hottest summer days, it remains very comfortable. It’s the perfect place to unwind and spend the day by the sea.
What does Dolce Mare offer?
Our restaurant serves Mediterranean cuisine with a blend of Italian, Greek, and Lebanese influences. We also feature fresh seafood every day, including our catch of the day displayed for guests to choose from.
Our menu includes a variety of seafood dishes, fresh fish, and homemade pastas with specialties like vongole and lobster. Whether you’re joining us for lunch or dinner, you can enjoy your meal while overlooking the sea.
The sunset in Batroun is famous. How do you make the most of it?
We designed our sunset deck specifically for that experience. We’ve created a relaxed lounge atmosphere with comfortable seating, high tables, and stools, making it the perfect place to enjoy the view.
As the sun sets, our resident DJ plays chill music to create the perfect ambiance. It’s not about dancing, it’s about relaxing, enjoying great music, sipping cocktails, sharing delicious food, and watching one of Batroun’s most beautiful sunsets.
Is there entertainment throughout the season?
Absolutely. In addition to our resident DJ, we occasionally host live bands and special entertainment events. The restaurant remains open until 11:30 p.m., so guests can continue enjoying the evening long after sunset.
During the day, guests can also relax on our sandy beach, where we offer food and beverage service, allowing you to enjoy lunch right by the water.
