Lebanon welcomes the flavors of Marseille this August through two gastronomic evenings led by award-winning French chef Sébastien Richard. In collaboration with Blue Shores International, Richard brings Mediterranean elegance and French precision to local stages, offering Lebanese diners two unforgettable experiences.
On Thursday, August 28, Bkerzay transforms into a hub of Mediterranean culture with “Le Goût de Marseille.” The evening opens at 6:30 PM with a welcome cocktail. At 7:30 PM, organizers screen the French film À la Belle Étoile in open air. By 9:15 PM, Chef Richard presents a bistronomic buffet that highlights Mediterranean flavors, while a live saxophone performance fills the night with music. Guests savor fine food, cinema, and music under the stars in a setting that blends rustic charm with French artistry.
On Saturday, August 30, Chef Richard joins Lebanese Chef Stéphanie Hage for “Écailles et Étoiles : un dîner d’exception” at Le Pelican in Tabarja. The chefs reunite after their first collaboration at the Yacht Club Beirut to craft a four-hands menu inspired by the sea. Starting at 8 PM, guests indulge in either a five-course dinner priced at $145 or a seven-course experience at $185. Richard and Hage design each dish as a dialogue of flavors that celebrates both Marseille’s culinary heritage and Lebanon’s rich seafood traditions.
Latourba Winery and Caspian Diamond Caviar partner with the chefs to elevate the evening through refined pairings. With limited seating, the dinner invites food lovers to immerse themselves in an exclusive, sea-inspired journey.
By curating these two events, Chef Sébastien Richard and his partners bring Marseille’s culinary spirit to Lebanon, transforming Bkerzay’s mountain setting and Tabarja’s coastal charm into stages for Mediterranean excellence.
