KINKAN
The Hot New Restaurant and Bar by The Jam Fam
Amman’s culinary scene has a striking addition that is quietly redefining the city’s nightlife and dining landscape: KinKan.
Operated by the regional hospitality group The Jam Fam, KinKan introduces itself not with a loud spectacle, but with a refined, intentional rhythm. Functioning as a modern restaurant and cocktail bar, it masterfully transitions between two distinct personas, a calm, composed dining space by day and an elevated, energetic hotspot by night.
The Design: Natural Textures & Warm Citrus Tones
The physical space of KinKan is intentionally crafted to make visitors want to linger. The interior architecture relies heavily on raw, tactile elements that pay subtle tribute to Jordan’s elemental beauty, balancing organic materials with sleek modern finishes.
As you can see inside the venue, the design seamlessly blends textured concrete walls, warm wood tones, and warm brass accents. Pockets of fresh, living greenery and lemon trees dangle elegantly from the ceiling grids, giving the room a fresh, breathable feel. Candlelight and carefully dimmed overhead spotlights reflect against a glowing backdrop of premium bottles, setting an atmospheric stage that naturally asks guests to dress up for the occasion.
A Culinary Philosophy Driven by Balance
KinKan deliberately avoids rigid culinary borders. Instead of tying itself to a singular geographic cuisine, the kitchen focuses on a globally inspired, locally grounded philosophy. Every dish is designed to be shared and explored, prioritizing clean, expressive flavors and thoughtful preparation over excessive decoration.
The menu focuses on pacing and discovery, bringing unexpected depth to familiar ingredients.
The Bar: Precision and Re-Engineered Classics
At the heart of KinKan’s evening transformation is its highly disciplined cocktail program. The mixology team treats beverage creation with the exact same rigor a chef brings to a dish, obsessing over temperature, texture, dilution, and strict proportions.
Rather than relying on visual gimmicks, the bar specializes in re-engineering classic flavor profiles through a contemporary lens. A perfect example of this is their “Cedar Ritual,”a crafted signature cocktail blending tequila and mezcal with pomegranate triple sec and a unique pineapple-sumac cordial, bridging global spirits with deep Levantine flavor notes.
Type of cuisine: International cuisine.
Recommended dishes: smoked ravioli, tomahawk, and trompe l’oeil mandarine.
