IGE AND MLA UNITE FOR EDUCATIONAL AND CULINARY COLLABORATION
Institute of Business Administration (IGE) and Mon Liban d’Azur (MLA) forge partnership to elevate French gastronomy and cultural exchange.
In a momentous event held at the Social Sciences Campus in Huvelin, the Institute of Business Administration (IGE) solidified a collaboration with Mon Liban d’Azur (MLA), fostering educational and cultural ties between the institutions. The occasion, graced by the presence of the Ambassador of France to Lebanon, H.E. Hervé Magro, and Consul Mr. Julien Bouchard celebrated the convergence of efforts between the two organizations.
Mon Liban d’Azur is a non-profit association originating from Nice and active in Beirut since August 2019. It seeks to establish connections between the Côte d’Azur, the South of France, and Lebanon in gastronomy, culture, and tourism. The collaborative venture aims to strengthen these ties further.
Noteworthy guests included the culinary maestro, Olivier Perigault, from the French Embassy in Lebanon, along with IGE’s acclaimed pastry chef, Charles Azar. Chef Azar showcased his gastronomic prowess by presenting the “Galette des rois” and the “Brioche des rois,” traditional Provencal specialties, to the delight of attendees.
Prof. Celine Saab, Director of IGE, emphasized the institute’s unique position in culinary education and its commitment to preserving and promoting French gastronomic heritage. She expressed the school’s broader mission, extending beyond skill transmission to include fostering a passion for culinary arts and cultural exchange among students.
Mrs. Geraldine Ghostine, Founder and President of Mon Liban d’Azur, highlighted the collaborative agreement’s focus on knowledge transfer, skill development, and training in the realm of culinary art. She shared exciting plans for a project in October, in collaboration with chef Davy Tissot, MOF chef and Bocuse d’Or 2021 winner, in commemoration of the 150th anniversary of USJ and the 5th anniversary of MLA.
The IGE reiterated its commitment to delivering high-quality, versatile education, aiming to enhance the visibility and success of its students. The collaboration with MLA represents a significant step towards promoting French gastronomy globally and fostering cross-cultural understanding through the art of cuisine.
