World-renowned Michelin-starred chef Gordon Ramsay is bringing his celebrated culinary academy to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This will mark the first international expansion of the academy outside the UK. Under a landmark 10-year agreement, Alkhaleej Training & Education Company will operate the new Gordon Ramsay Culinary Academy. Branches are planned for Riyadh, Jeddah, and Al Khobar.
The inaugural campus is scheduled to open by the end of 2025 at Riyadh’s Narjis View Mall. It will serve as the flagship hub before the rollout to the other two cities. The academy will offer short workshops as well as full diplomas in culinary arts, baking, and pastry. Programs are designed to welcome home cooks and aspiring professionals alike.
Students will also gain training in kitchen management, hospitality operations, and marketing. The goal is to equip them with both culinary and business acumen. Courses will feature British, Asian, and local-inspired menus. Accreditation from the Confederation of Tourism & Hospitality (CTH) will give graduates internationally recognized credentials.
The initiative aligns closely with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which emphasizes diversification, cultural exchange, and workforce development. Industry analysts suggest the academy could transform the culinary landscape in the Kingdom. It may empower Saudis to take leading roles in hospitality and position the country as a regional education hub.
As the Kingdom steps onto the global gastronomic stage, Ramsay’s academy promises more than cooking lessons. It offers a kitchen revolution, empowering the next generation of chefs to rise to Michelin-level standards without leaving home.
