A Unique Culinary Event in Beirut
On February 12, Beirut will host a standout charity dinner event that blends fine dining with meaningful social impact. Titled “Menú à 4 Manos – Feeding Hope in Beirut,” the evening brings together two acclaimed chefs, Hussein Hadid and Andrés Torres, for an exclusive four-hands dinner at Pavilion Café, located at the National Museum of Beirut. The event highlights Beirut’s vibrant culinary scene while addressing one of Lebanon’s most pressing challenges: food insecurity.
Celebrated Chefs United by Purpose
Chef Hussein Hadid, a leading name in Lebanese cuisine, is known for honoring local flavors through refined, contemporary techniques. He is joined by Spanish chef Andrés Torres, founder of Casa Nova in Spain, a restaurant recognized for its Mediterranean identity and commitment to ethical, socially conscious gastronomy. Their collaboration reflects a shared belief that food can be a powerful driver of community support and positive change.
Supporting Berrad El Hay’s Fight Against Food Insecurity
This dinner supports Berrad El Hay, a Lebanese social enterprise founded by Nayla Frem Sayegh that addresses food insecurity by transforming surplus food into nutritious meals for vulnerable communities. Through its food-rescue model and strong partnerships, the organization reduces waste while creating sustainable pathways to dignity, nourishment, and social impact.
One of its flagship initiatives, the Fill Their Lunchboxes School Meal Program, focuses specifically on supporting children in public schools and learning centers. Each week, the program distributes 1,800 nutritious lunchboxes to students in need, helping them stay healthy, focused, and ready to learn. By ensuring reliable access to balanced meals, the program plays a vital role in improving school attendance, academic performance, and overall well-being.
An Evening That Makes a Real Difference
Guests will be welcomed with a drink at 7:30 PM, followed by dinner at 8:00 PM. More than a fine-dining experience, the evening transforms each course into direct support for children and families in need.
The event is coordinated by Tina Habchi, project manager of the charity dining initiatives developed with Chef Andrés Torres, overseeing the organization and execution of these purpose-driven culinary events.
By combining culinary excellence with social responsibility, “Feeding Hope in Beirut” illustrates how gastronomy can become a catalyst for solidarity, sustainability, and meaningful change in Lebanon.
