Triple Michelin star and winner of the title of Best Craftsman of France in 2004, Christophe Bacquié officiates in the direction of the restoration of the Hotel & Spa du Castellet and the kitchens of the gourmet restaurant since November 1st, 2009. During his career professional, several meetings were decisive. After the Oasis in Mandelieu-La-Napoule with Stéphane Raimbault and Louis Outhier, charismatic and generous characters, he multiplies the Parisian experiences, especially at Prunier (Paris 16th). He finds Corsica where he grew up and officiates for 12 years. He obtained his first Michelin star in 2002 and a second in February 2007. In 2008, rewarded by the Relais Gourmand Trophy, he became “Grand Chef” Relais and Châteaux.
In 2009, he decided to take up a new challenge and left Corsica for the gastronomic restaurant in Provence. He moved to the kitchen of the Hotel & Spa du Castellet and managed the feat of finding his second star in 2010 at the gourmet restaurant. The Castellet management also entrusts it with the total responsibility for the kitchens of the Tourism division composed of two hotels (Hotel & Spa du Castellet *****, Grand Prix Hotel & Restaurant ***).
It starts the year 2011 with its new bistro project for the Castellet hotel “Le SanFelice” which was launched in May 2011 at the Hotel & Spa du Castellet.
In November 2011 the gourmet restaurant enters the Grandes Tables du Monde.
Then in March 2015, the table of the Provencal gourmet restaurant becomes the “Restaurant Christophe Bacquié”. Totally reconsidered as a welcoming and soothing setting nestled in the heart of the Hôtel & Spa du Castellet; work evoking terroirs and the abyssal universe of the sea; the Chef wished his guests to be spectators of the Provençal nature and its majestic pines which open on the restaurant for the pleasure of the eyes and the spirit.
On February 5, 2018, Christophe Bacquié enters the very closed circle of triple stars of the Red Guide. At 45, these 3 stars place the chef at the peak of his career.
And the year 2018 will be a rain of rewards! A few months after Christophe Bacquié is elected Best Chef of the Year 2018 by the Trophy magazine Le Chef.
No less than 500 starred chefs, sommeliers, pastry chefs, butlers were present to discover the results of the vote of the 6,000 chefs listed in the Michelin Guide.
Earlier this year, the restaurant also received the Gault & Millau Hospitality Trophy. In November, the Chef will receive 5 toques at Gault et Millau and a score of 19/20.
Close to his teams and his producers, Christophe Bacquié knew how to remain simple and never lost sight of the essential: the emotion and the passion.
