INTERVIEW |

With more than 15 years as an Executive Chef within Four Seasons and a foundation built in Michelin-starred restaurants across France, Chef Thierry Papillier brings a wealth of international experience and refined culinary expertise to the Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait. Known for his dedication to quality ingredients and his passion for mentoring the next generation of chefs, Chef Thierry believes that leadership in the kitchen goes beyond the plate. In this interview, he shares his philosophy, his inspirations, and his vision for the future of culinary excellence.
Can you introduce yourself?
My name is Thierry Papillier, and I am the Executive Chef at the Four Seasons Hotel Kuwait. I have been working as an Executive Chef with the company for the past 15 years, traveling to different countries and leading culinary teams. Prior to joining Four Seasons, I worked in Michelin-starred restaurants across France, where I developed my foundation and passion for fine cuisine.
Is there a personal motto you live by?
Don’t dream your life. Live your dream.
What is your favorite ingredient?
There are many. But ultimately, I would say the product itself, the right product. When you have the right ingredient, treated with respect and care, it becomes the most important element on the plate.
What are your plans for the future?
My focus is to continue growing people. That is truly why I’m here, to mentor, develop, and inspire the next generation of chefs. I will continue doing that for as long as I can.
What inspires you to keep achieving?
Simply continuing to do what I do today. Being able to lead, create, and develop others every day is already a great achievement in itself.
